The Coronavirus pandemic has thrown the world into an unprecedented crisis of high magnitude. To reduce the rate of infections and death, governments have ordered citizens to stay indoors. Those who defied in the earlier part of 2020 have had their cups full and served as lessons to others. It is thus no more a hoax that this pandemic is real.
This weeks short comic story tells the lockdown story from a citizen of a developing nation who lives from hand to mouth. With nothing to stock up the home, he is faced with the inevitable reality of finding his daily bread in the coronavirus infested streets.
This is the story of majority of developing nations whose system of governance has let them down. Every man’s survival is dependent on himself as little or no paliatives are provided. It is a choice between death by coronavirus or hunger. This is our sad reality.
